Winter 2019 Issue is Live
by Barbara Westwood Diehl
Welcome to our winter 2019 issue!
We hope you enjoy the poems, short stories, and creative nonfiction in this issue as much as we do.
Congratulations to our winter contest winners, also included in this issue:
Leslie Carlin, “Occasionally Good” – 1st Place
Christopher X Ryan, “Day Shapes” – 2nd Place
Amanda Newell, “Because I Am Lonely and You Will Not Know My Pain” – 3rd Place
And thanks to our final judge, Geoffrey Becker.
Along with the “Tools” contest winners, we are also including the image (definitely fit our tool theme) used for our Pop-Up Contest and two of the flash fiction responses to the image prompt. We love to see imaginations take flight. Or, in this case, enter one of the interesting apertures on a complicated hunk of machinery like Bill Wolak’s and come out on the other side, in one piece, somewhat unscathed.
Stay inside and read if you can, OK? Maybe get a little writing done. It’s snowing here in Baltimore.
Thank you, readers and writers.
