Baltimore is the home of great literature and of great classic writers from Edgar Allan Poe to Frederick Douglass to H.L. Mencken. The Baltimore Review , Charm City's premier literary journal, seeks to collect the voices of the great writers of today, from across the nation and around the world.We are currently in our 14th year of continuous publication; we are a journal that is operated independently of any university or organizational funding and edited by a team of volunteers and dedicated readers. It is our privilege to publish, twice yearly, some of the finest poetry and prose from Baltimore and beyond.

As of May 15, 2008, The Baltimore Review is accepting regular submissions for publication consideration exclusively through our online submissions system.

Please note that entries to the Poetry, Short Fiction, and Creative Nonfiction Competitions, however, must still be sent via regular postal mail.
